Coaching & Volunteer Requirements


Requirements for All Managers, Coaches & Volunteers:
  • Attend a Coaches/First Aid meeting
  • The criminal background check (Forms & fees provided by MLL)
  • Attend the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. course. (Proof of your attendance required - more information available from Rutgers at 732-932-7178)
  • Provide a photo copy of a valid government issued photo ID.
  • Read, acknowledge and abide by the MLL Code of Conduct. (Provided on the website)
  • Visit http://www.njsp.org and view the sex offenders registry for the Morris County area.
  • All first year managers and coaches must attend a coaching in-service. Additionally, all other managers and coaches must attend at least one in-service every two years. (Dates will be posted soon, so please keep checking the website.)

Responsibilities:
  • Manager - Organize, administrate and oversee the coaching of a baseball/softball team.
  • Coach - Provide instruction to players and fill-in for the manager.
  • Volunteer - participate in field lining, equipment distribution and repair, special projects, photo day, etc.

All applicants are selected for positions by the MLL Board of Directors after consideration of availability and compatibility. - Positions are not guaranteed.
