Introduction

From the Mendham Little League Director of Safety and Training:

Mendham Little League is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable baseball and softball experience for our children. MLL participates in ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program) and has a certified safety plan on file with Little League, Inc.

Every adult participant in MLL has attended the Rutgers University SAFETY Program and has their certification card on file with MLL. MLL conducts background checks every season on every manager, coach and volunteer. All adult participants are also required to view the NJ State Police Sex Offender Registry for the Morris County area and be familiar with locally registered offenders.

All volunteers are familiarized every year with basic first aid. Every team is issued a first aid kit, which must be present at every game and practice.

MLL maintains insurance for injuries. Incidents are historically tracked so that injury trends can be analyzed and preventative measures taken.

Every member of MLL must read and acknowledge a code of conduct, which requires among other things that all Little League participants be treated in a safe and respectful manner.

MLL maintains a Conduct Committee, which considers the behavior of its members with a priority on the physical and emotional well-being of all participants. If any concern arises or you have suggestions, please use the contact information to let a MLL Board Member know.
